Yup, you can add the system to any 2005 or 2006 model.

Hmm. I don't know if you can add it to the Costco.com model, but I bet so.

Last I knew it's slated for mid-year (which is what's been said for two years), and probably will come out at about the time they made the changes to the Grandee last year.

I would not recommend the new system, stick with bromine or chlorine.

Okay, so on your 4th post you recommend not using a system that is not even available yet. �Just how do you come to this conculsion?

Any of our HS dealers demo the system out yet? Do you think the hard core dichlor users will want to switch out to a Baqua based system? I'm all for trying something new but there sure is a lot of negative press out there with Baqua.

I would bet those "hard core" dichlor/ozone/silver users will not switch to the biguanide. I personally don't care for biguanides - that is my personal preference, I know there are plenty who do. Those who like biguanides and want more automation, will at least consider the system.

I asked my dealer about it and he had no idea when the product is going to be available.

Since Hot Spring does not recommend using biguanides with Tri-X filters, how will they get around that?

I was using biguanides until last week and now am on dichlor. I'm never going back to biguanides. Depending on your water the biguanides can cause you to get some wicked water lines and build up in your tub. If you have decent water though it might be the answer for easy maintenance.

I think the thought with the Baqua automation is that it's a safe inlet into chemical feeders on a self-contained unit. Can you imagine the headache of trying automation with liquid chlorine to start?

I think the system is a good idea for dealers and also good for customers who are thrown off by the whole water chemistry game.
