Innovation is creative thinking and it makes things happen.  Marketing is what sells it.  That is no surprise.

Yep, capitalism at work.  It's the only way to go!

PackerPaul, I'm afraid it will initially be exclusive to HotSpring and will remain so for a while.

SSbraun, think of it more along the lines of a better delivery system for water care.  Plug and play arena.

OK, it is a system based on the natural sanitizing properties of the sun, or more precisely, the sunflower.  As most people are aware, the sunflower contains oils that are highly prized for their antiseptic properties as well as anti-microbial inhibitors.  The new FlowerPower (TM) Water Care System will allow customers to simply grow their own sanitizers in their garden or they can buy it in concentrated form from their HS dealer or local health food store.

The consumer trends seminar I attended strongly suggested that consumers are wanting Earth-friendly products and this is an attempt to capture this up-til-now untapped market in the spa industry.  Just one more example of HotSpring leading the way.

I'm sorry I can't say more at this time.

We recently began beta-testing the FlowerPower (TM) Water Care System in our store and I did a quick online demo for ya'll.  It is code named "Bubba Keg" to throw any industrial spies off the trail.  Please keep it on the QT.  Sorry for the poor picture quality as I am extremely busy today.

Step 1

The "Bubba Keg" Mixing Chamber and raw materials:

Step 2

Add the raw ingredients (fresher is better) to the "Bubba Keg" Mixing Chamber:

Step 3

Connect to FlowerPower Energizing Sub-Atomic Reactor and hit the "GO DADDY" Button.  This will atomize the natural sunflower oils to create your sanitizer:

Step 4

Add "Bubba Keg" to filter area. Voila!!!  The power of the sun to cleanse your water!

Shhhhhhhhh!  Keep it quiet.

Cheer up, maybe he'll never grow up and become a HotSpring salesman and you will be able to buy supplies at a discount.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLL  what a demo term, what a demo.

I have it all figured out, technological advances. It is an antimicrobial agent designed to breakdown the biofilm on the bacteria thereby making it easier to kill and disinfect.

You threw me, Term, when you first said revolutionary and non chlorine. I was thinking outside of the box and hoping for a way to actually get a dissolved ozone residual in hot water and ORP monitoring. Then you said not ozone compatible. This would apply to biguanides since ozone will eat them up. Later, when you said evolutionary and filter compartment, I got back in the box. The filter box to be specific. I think Chris_H, Anoroc, and st18901 are right.
My guess is that it's some sort of biguanide injection into the filter compartment. Of course this would require an oxidizer as well, so you'd have to also have a squirt of hydrogen peroxide, and maybe a little stain and scale or water line control. The trick would be metering the dosage of the various liquids according to spa size and usage. I guess this would make all the baqua and soft soak users happy.
Personally, I'm with Drewstar, I hope it's lasers!
