I just installed a Misting kit in my Gazebo over my Hot Tub.
I installed a nozzle over each seat.

It can reduce the temperature of the air up to 25 degrees Farenheit.

This really works. and is very inexpensive.

Today we had 80 degree temperatures in the shade, very unusual in Vancouver Canada this early in the year.

80? When does it get hot? Or is that Canadian temperature, you know that metric thing?

Interesting idea. We also have had several high 80's days here this early and expect many in the mid to upper 90's. I'll take a look.

Any known issues with wood damage due to the misting?

I would love to install something like this when our gazebo arrives! Thanks for the info and link. I'm off to do more research.

I purchased it from a store and the cost was $39.00 Canadian.

As long as the air temperature is hot and dry you should not have any problems

This is a way cool idea..I'm thinking I need to tell hubby about this cause we have the steel roof and man does it hold in the heat!!!
Now I'm going to bombard you with questions: How does this system hook up??? where does it connect to?? and how would it effect my wood?

Misters are cool, no pun intended.

We got lucky and when they delivered our Vita Spa, it had the mister option. It hooks up to a fresh water line so it's not spraying tub water. It works great and allows us to use the tub even during the summer heat in Florida.

I was talking to my brother in California the other day, he does custom pool and spas. He says the really nice misters run off a pressure pump that makes about 600 psi. The water is atomized so fine you'll never feel wet.

Since your body normally produces mist(sweat) while soaking in a hot tub, many may also find a fan to work nicely.
