New spa store in town
« on: June 16, 2005, 01:29:18 pm »
Well, there's a new spa store in town. It sells Caldera Spas and patio furniture.

It's called "Spa and Patio Center." It's located in an old warehouse, though the inside looks pretty good.

I guess I had a little too much time on my hands!

Pictures as I get time...

Congrats on the new showroom. Hot Springs and Caldera are both very fortunate to have you representing them.

...

You certainly didn't spent it coming up with the name.  Kidding, good luck. ;)

Huh. Last year in my neck of the woods (Central MA) a spa store in a somewhat "warehouse-ish" Building opened up.  The name? "Spa and Patio".  How original ;) Actually I wonder if it's a franchised name or just that there's a lot of uninmagintive store names out there?

The "Spa and Patio" by me is a D1 dealer.  As well as grills and has recently added pellet stoves.

They were also in the MA news last week. 7 of thier tubs were stolen out of thier parking lot.  :'(

Contest time: Come up with a Spa store name:

Muddy Waters Spa and Pool.

Cryptosporidium Elite Spas  :P

Opps. Chas, no offense. It wasn't clear to me from your first post that the store was yours. I wasn't trying to offend.  I was just goofing around.  Good luck with your store.

Good Luck Chas!!

But how are you going to stop all that product bashing from your sales staff? ;D

I can just imagine the first meeting of both staff - keep the pointed sticks hidden! - LOL

Seriously, May you have much success!!

It'll work out great.

Customer: "We plan to check out other spas as well to compare to your Hot Springs."

Chas' salesperson: "If you plan to shop elsewhere I'd recommend you look at Caldera spas over at Spa and Patio Center. They are certainly our toughest competition and make a very good spa as well."

Great scenario! - I didn't think of it that way!

That's why I repair stuff and NOT in sales.

congrats on the new store! with two stores, you may not find yourself with as much "time on your hands" for a while, but i bet its worth it.
good luck, and i hope most of the people that stop in to see the new place, "wind up in hot water". (supplied by you of course) ;D
oh yeah.... dont forget to keep a close eye on those trucks of yours. you dont want them wandering around, turning up with a flat tire later.... ;) ;) :o

Chas,
Are you owning or renting the building?

We lease the warehouse/Caldera building and we just bought a building into which we are going to move the "Spas etc." (HotSpring) store. More than twice the floor space, huge parking lot, fronts right on Main Street, and it has an apartment upstairs for my nephew to move into.

After 20 years of doing this, we realized that we should have owned a building long ago...
