New Jacuzzi
amy2421:
Thanks! I don't know how to post pics on here though...
SoCal Monkey:
Back out to the main forum index and there's a forum for sharing spa pics. Here's the topic from that forum explaining how: http://www.whatsthebest-hottub.com/forum/index.php/topic,17532.0.html

Today we finally got to fill up our Jacuzzi!!! It did not take as long to fill as I thought it would. Then the moment of truth.... flipped the breaker on the GFCI and our tub fired to life! :) So great news... it works and our electrician wired it up correctly. :)
We put in the startup chemicals, ran the jets for 20 minutes, and now we're watching the temperature rise on our free remote. :) It started at 63 degrees and we're presently up to 71 (in about 90 minutes)... it is only about 50 degrees outside right now.
The Champagne is in the fridge ready to go when it gets up to temperature... (whether that is tonight or tomorrow, doesn't matter). :D

Congratulations Amy!!!
I know you've been through a lot with your spa purchase. Is really nice to see it all come together. Hope you enjoy it for a long, long time!

Thanks Quickbeam! This morning I checked the remote and the temperature was up to 101 and holding. I've bumped it up to 102 and it came up pretty quickly. Everything seems to be operating perfectly! :)
We had a Jacuzzi technician here first thing this morning to change the factory default setting of 50 amp to the 60 amp setting so that it can run the heater and both pumps at the same time. (Everything is wired for 60 amps - you should see the size of the wire!! - and the breaker in the panel is 60 amps.) I have the instructions for how to do it, but there was some suggestion that you can void your warranty by going into those settings so I figured it was a free service call so why not?
Tonight will be our first dip... can't wait!
