New Jacuzzi
amy2421:
I figured I'd better post a positive thread about my new Jacuzzi so it doesn't seem like I'm down on it just because of a negative initial experience. :)
Our J-470 is in place, wired up, but not filled yet. I'm not super happy about that, but we are in the last couple days of a major backyard reno so there is still a lot of sawdust and polymeric sand flying around. My husband doesn't want to fill it until they are almost finished.
The Roasted Chestnut skirt seems to have a haziness that I thought I could wipe off but it keeps coming back. Any suggestions for how to improve that or is it just "how it is"?
I spent some time inside the tub this evening cleaning out the interior. There was a lot of "stuff" inside.... bits of dirt/grit, several dead bugs, along with the expected water from the factory's wet-test. I wiped it down, got out the majority of the "stuff" and all the dead bugs, and will probably give it another better wipe inside before we fill it. (Maybe...)
The interior is gorgeous. The Platinum shell is so lovely and smooth and shiny. Every mark that I found wiped off and it seems completely flawless and free of even a scratch. The jets look good, albeit a little dusty and with bits in them like the rest of the tub, so I wiped most of that out and I figure the water and pressure will blow out anything that I can't get.
Just sitting in it dry reminded me of why I love this tub. Can't wait to get it filled and fire it up for the first time! Hopefully this weekend! :) :) :)
Jacuzzi Jim:
Try pledge on the skirt.

Thanks Jim! I will try that!

I'm looking forward to the pics, too. Hope you love it.
