Marquis spirit vs 322
« on: March 01, 2015, 08:33:26 pm »
Stopped by our local marquis dealer and saw two models that we liked. The spirit and the 322. The prices we were given included delivery and cover but no steps or cover lifter. The spirit was $7000 and the 322 was $5600, are those good prices ? Both had no options added and w were told we can add a cover lifter for $200 and steps go from $100 for a flimsy plastic one to $350 for a two step with storage.  Guess my concern is price ( Is that fair, high?) and experience with those two models.

The least I have sold a Spirit for has been $7200 but that included the nice bench and step from Marquis made specifically for the curve on the Spirit, so I would say that is a pretty good price you are getting.  I think the least I have sold a 322 for was $5400 and I don't include a step with that one since it is so short.  The Spirit is a significant step up and in my opinion worth every penny.

The price on the Spirit is excellent!  For only a $1400 difference it's a no brainer.  If you are able to wire it 240v look into the pump upgrade.  It's well worth the money to do it.  We just did a home show this past weekend and sold a couple of the those tubs with only the 240p as a upgrade for $7,495.  We charge $200 for the upgrade.  A few of the differences are a upgraded filtration system, a bottom pan, standard full foam inulation, nicer cabinet and a better warranty.  5 year component versus 3 year.  If they deal with wells fargo they are also doing 1 year interest free right know which is a bonus.  The spirit is my favorite 3 person tub in the market!

Thanks for the input. One thing I forgot to ask is how much is the wifi option and is that something I have to order from the factory or can it be added to one already in stock?

I'm sure Ohio State Fans could get a better deal  :o.  Kidding. I'm not familiar with the 322.   You might have toom to get them to throw in the lifer and stairs,  Also, Welcome to the forum.

Wifi usually goes in the $350 range.  This can be added to a instock model.  Very simple add.

Both are nice spas, the Spirit is awesome.  In my opinion it's the best 2-4 person hot tub on the market.  Try and get the MP160 pump upgrade.  The quality is second to none.  Go Ducks!
