Hello,

     We are shopping for hot tubs and need some advise.  We were offered the j-lxl 2013 with the new blue tooth jbl stereo and steps for 9300.  I believe this is a good price.  The other tub we were looking at was a 2012 j 355 floor model with stereo for 8800.  Any advice on better tub and deal would be greatly appreciated.  Dealers input is welcome.

Both tubs look very nice.  Did you wet test both of them?  If you have not you need too.  If you have there is only $500 difference in the tubs.  To me it will just come down to the wet test and which one felt better. 

The last thing for me would be if the floor model has any bad marks or cosmetic damage.

Thanks.  We did wet test the 355 and we sat in the lxl but it was dry. We liked the upgraded filtration and jets but I am little concerned about the smaller size.  Site says it is 20 gal less than the 355.

 I would have to give the edge to the J-355 comfort wise, the JLX series are nice spas with a great look to them.  As far as filtration pretty sure you can put that filter in the 300 series if you want.     I can tell you I sell way more J-355s than JlXs.   Good price on both..

We wet tested the JLX and a few 300 series and bought J480. Have it 3 weeks now.  The JLX is pretty but we found it a bit shallow. We are also taller people, but the store manager called it a "perfect rooftop deck Jacuzzi". As in if I have to crane the sucker on a roof deck in Manhattan. I did enjoy the j355.
