Yard work, view from my tub
« on: August 17, 2009, 10:19:52 pm »
Hey Zep...hope you read this because years ago I posted something about how my above ground pool just didn't fit with my nice new hot tub. You suggested that I pretty things in the yard up and somehow it would still look OK...Well finally..(about 2 years later), I have  completed my yard project. The view from my tub is pretty nice now because I fixed up my fish pond and had some hardscaping done too.

Thanks Vinny,  I just meant that Zep was the one who suggested the improvements ...maybe to distract from the above ground pool!! :)

Looks lovely but am I missing something? Like the aforementioned above ground pool? Is it no longer there?

Inquiring minds want to know!

She did such a fine job, the pool blends in invisibly.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Haha...the pool is still there, just on the other side of the yard. It is not a focal point though because of the pond. And if I get my way, it will be bulldozed by next summer!!! >:(

No no Zep, you didn't say it looked lousy, sorry if I said that. :-\ I was complaining that the tub and pool didn't fit together and you said that adding a few things and some landscaping would make the difference. So now I can view my pond and hardscaping from my tub and when people come up into my yard, the pond is definately what they are looking at..not that ugly pool.  That was a long time ago, but I remember how nice your yard and tub looked...and I think I said I wish mine looked nice to. ;)

Just teasing with you Zep. ;)...but you are amazingly close!!..These pictures were taken in Siena and Tuscany Italy.

Pictures from my front yard would have cows and goats and would not be nearly as pretty as where you are!!

Hopefully, someday my front yard will be in Italy!!
