After wet testing several spas from Sundance, Hot Springs, Tiger River, Coleman, and Caldera we chose the Santa Barbara Catalina. We found it to be one of the better designed one in our opinion with almost no wood, a fiberglass base, and fairly quite even when both pumps are on full. Little details like having being able to sit on top of the filter area as well as having the corona discharge ozonation system standard and not an add-on drew us to the unit.

Now that we have had it for a few months we still feel we made the right choice. I enjoy the lounger the best while my wife is partial to the sequencing back massage seat. This seat has 12 jets that sequence in pairs that feels like someone is actually massaging you back. The jets feel power enough for us as we use the spa for relaxation but it should be strong enough for therapy use as well. The spa easily handles 6 persons with out having to worry about playing footsy with everyone.
