Caldera Martinique heater
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:51:00 pm »
Hey guys, has anyone replaced the heater on a caldera tub? I think my heater has seen better days. I did a water change today and the water temp started out around 56 degrees. After about 4 hrs it has only climbed to 72 degrees. It doesn't feel like the water is too warm coming out of the hole in the tub. I will check it later to see if she reaches temp. The heater is 11 yrs old.
If there are any video links that would also help me with replacing it. Thanks..

Go to you tube there are a ton of tutorial videos. But a few degrees an hour does not mean no good. Give it some time.

The heater either works or it doesn't.  If increasing temp, it is working.  Sounds like maybe a T-stat.

4.5 degrees an hour isn't outa line. Stop opening the cover.
