Title: HS Dealers- parts question
Post by: The_real_Clown_Shoes on May 18, 2007, 09:25:33 pm
Does anyone have one of those old cartridge heater elements from the old Tiger Rivers?

I've got a customer who is looking to replace his because it's leaking around where the thermistors and hi-limit hook in.  I told him that we usually retro-fit a newer version of the No-Fault and that I didn't have any on hand.  When he saw the heater alone would be about 300 bucks he said, "I'll just keep filling it as it leaks."

I told him I would check with some of you guys to see if you had one.  I think the P/N is 70910 but I can't remember.  It's on page 15a of the Tiger River service manual- number 11 on the parts list (I know it seems weird I can remember it that way, but it's just easier.)

If one of you lovely individuals happens to have one out back, please let me know.

Call the factory Monday morning - I think you can still order this part. The heater element is long discontinued, but I think you can get the housing still.

Should be around $50 or so.

If you can't buy from the factory, call me and I'll see if we can get you one.

Spas etc.

the housing you mention is a piece! (IMHO)  I have dealt with many a crack.  no real alternative but to pay the big bucks (that is assuming you can't get it, which I have never been able to- not a dealer, just a service company)
