Hello all! Ive been lurking for about 3-4 weeks and finally need to ask a question? I almost fell into a 1 DAY SALE @ a d1 dealer but came home and thought about money and glad I did! I would love to have a d1 chairmanII but cant see paying 9.6k on sale so If I was looking for a new (well built spa with lounge) or a two year old model what are the most trouble free spas. I dont want one that is from a traveling show... nor do I want cal junk or united spas had them both and nothing but issues! the only thing needs to be that all the jets must be able to turn down or off and would like a 7x7 or as close to it as possible :) thanks in advance for your help......mike

The best spa in that price range is really only relative to you. Nobody can give you a right or wrong answer. I would start by wet testing the mid-class spas from one of the heavy hitters. Such as Sundance, Jacuzzi, Hot Springs, Dimension One, etc...
I'm not sure if it's in the cards but if you were to spend about $1000 more you could find yourself with alot more choices. For instance the J-355 is in that range and fits your criteria quite well. I too had my mind set at only spending 5K max until I did some research and found that if I would spend a little more money I'd have a higher quality spa that would last for many years to come. I ended up with the J-345 and couldn't be any more happy with my purchase of $6100. That extra 1K or so will definetly pay divedends in the future. Good luck with your continued quest for spatopia.

The "Dim One" does have some nice units and to be honest, those prices aren't bad for that unit but there are a lot of less expensive but nearly as nice units out there. The Jacuzzi J-375 is 91x91" (nearly 8x8) and has a full lounger and can be acquired for as little as $7,500

The J-375 no longer exists. Unless your dealer has on 06 you will not fint this spa. However the 355 is an awesome option. I't my best selling unit. 20 spas sold this wewekend 8 of them 355's! Everybody loves this spa! Sorry 'bout my typing, this is my 13th day with out a day off and it's 11:15 pm, I'm DRUNBK. Buy my spa, it's thew best in the workld!

For 3-5k, I would recommend checking out the Hot Spring-made Hot Spot Trinidad. It's a fairly deep tub at 34", and the way it is sculpted you can actually fit 5 people in it comfortably. If you wanted to spend a little more money, check out the Tiger River Bengal.

You've already seen that it really can matter what brand you buy.
If you're looking to spend $3-5k on a spa and are willing to buy a used spa as you've indicated, I'll bet you'll be able to eventually find something decent out there from someone who is moving or has some reason to sell but you'll need to be patient to find the right one (right place, right time) and you want to make sure that you see it running.

beware....shameless promotion attempt........California Cooperage......106-105-107.....could be just what you are looking for. find them at a Coleman Spas dealer near you....good luck

34" should be considered a "shallow" spa as most 4 person and up spas are between 36 and 38-inches deep. Only the 2 and 3 person tubs are typically 34" deep

You might check out the Jacuzzi J-230 or the J-335 as well.

I meant fairly deep for the price range.
It's deeper than a Bengal or a Sovereign.
