Title: What a day in Florida
Post by: loosenupspas on February 28, 2007, 03:13:29 pm
What a perfectly marvelous day outside.  Slight taste of Springtime in the air.  Customers are shaking off their hybernation.   Hot tub water looks so clear, love its smell when it is churning and pumping.  It is coming soon to our windows springtime.  Open up the doors, wave to your neighbors.  What a perfectly marvelous day inside and out........

We have been enjoying 70's to low 80's this week and last here in beautiful Austin, Texas. 50's in the evening. great tubbing weather. Trees are budding out already. Going to Vegas tomorrow for a few days. Hope it is nice there.

Good heavens. With an attitude like that....

You're good to have around.

Enjoy the day.

We're waiting for a blizzard in western ND. :'(  :'(

Florida sounds wonderful right about now. Stay happy loosenup. Did you order any of the special 107's?

Here in MPLS, we're waiting for about 15 more inches of snow.  Not entirely dreading it- we really need the moisture to help fill up the lakes.  Plus, I might just get to spend tomorrow working from home.

We don't have a steady diet of 70's yet, but the jonquils are coming up.  Unfortunately so are the wild onions in the yard.

Happy almost spring to all.   :-*

Floridians hybernate? From what, those brutal 60º temperatures you get in the winter?

The only weather that keeps me out of my hot tub - Severe Thunderstorms, getting them today. My cat Sidney is already hiding behind the washer.   Rather have this than the snow.

I don't mind the snow, except for the rush hour snarls, or the rain.  It's the frozed rain, sleet and stuff like that scares me.

Here in MA, right about now, every once in a while you can get a "whiff" of spring in the air. That warm fresh clean  smell (like a Freshwater III  ozinator on a dewy summer morn ;)).  And then Wham! a frigid blast of artic air blows up your backside.  March in New england can be very frustrating. Right when you think you're done with the winter, you wake up and there's a foot of snow outside. Today, it's in the 40's tomorrow there will be some snow.  End of Arpil, early May is when I really start to get excited about the warm weather. Hell, next week at this time, I'll be skiing in the frigid moutnains of Maine, and then the following weekend, look for me at Mallory Sq. KW.

We got hit really hard this morning. There was even dime size hail. Now it's partly cloudy and as windy as I've ever seen it here in the STL. I'm not kiddin', I wouldn't be surprised if there's some 50+ mph gusts. It's ridiculous!!!

I thought is was, "A day without sunshine is like...

Don't know if that works the same in Fla or not.

banned.......i am misunderstood.......i didnt claim that a bad day in florida beats a good day anywhere else.  in fact i resisted comment.  my first thought of a response was that is true if you are a gnat.  july thru mid sept is high time for gnats, hurricanes and tourists from ohio.  you all are very harsh in judgement.....a proper nice comment on a beautiful day and that spring is in the air receives vicious attacks, loopsided polling and potentail lifelong banishment.  Imagine if i'd said something negative about Hot Springs......thats a joke......get that red lasar dot off my chest.....i am packing quickly(turn off the red dot) and looking for a safe way out of the country(come on plz turn off the red dot)  i am a hunted man..............

Mlg,

Have things calmed down a bit yet? Anymore pics?
I hope you didn't get stuck out in the tub.

No worries! I don't like laser sites anyway.

I was in Tampa the 20th thru the 24 for training and loved it. They sell lots of different adult beverages in Ybor City and there are numerous cigar shops where they roll them on the premesis.

Loosenupspas, if you see my liver tell it to come home. It got mad and left me the second day there.

Getting sent to Honolulu for training March 11-17. Staying on Waikiki beach. I'd like to thank all you fine federal taxpayers for your support!

Here's another pic for you Chad, but this was taken the same time as the other...it has been a steady blizzard for 5+ hours since then.....sigh

Oops, I haven't been paying attention..my quote is from a TV add...can't remember but it might be an airline...I didn't make it up and I only really like Florida in the fall and spring
MLG, I would trade you in a heartbeat..we are in for flooding rain tonight, I would so much rather have snow!

So...

"Blizzard."

That's some sort of snow-related thing,

right?
