Again he is sending his crappy weather my way! And I even like his Cardinals! I think our weather forecasters, at least in our area have really improved over the past years. 2 weeks ago I escaped work ahead of the storm changing from rain to freezing rain. After I was home and comfortable employers were letting people go after the conditions got horrible! (Actually that is when I took that last controversial picture)
They are predicting we will be right on the ice line for many hours tonignt into Sunday morning, so I'm prepared. I took out 25 gallons of water, added about 35 back, sanitized, rinsed filters, and the put the tarp in place. As soon as the ice storm ends, or switches to snow, I'll be soaking in 104 water.

Sorry wmccall,
It's been consistently raining here since about 5:00 am. We're suppose to get a full 2'' of rain today! Lucky for us though, temps are above freezing. Thank goodness too because I don't know if I could take 20'' of snow right now.

:) In case you were wondering, I could see you were in the forum.

And here I thought he had posted some soft-core porn -- or got in an argument, took his ball and went home. ;)
Here in MN, we are dissappointed because the first wave of a storm that had been forecasted to bring us 12-15 inches of snow is fizzling out. Although we may still get a decent snowfall tonight, we have seen so little winter this year that many of us were actually hoping for a blizzard.

Reese, as I am directly below you (geographically speaking, of course) I would please ask that you refrain from hoping for more snow. I have had enough of it this year, and do respectfully ask that you SHUT UP!!!!!!!!! ;)
Thank you very much,
MLG

...respectfully ask that you SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!
Funny, I felt the same love from another member earlier this week ;):). Sorry MLG, but watching the rest of the country get snow, while we have been shut out, has been hard on those of us who enjoy winter sports and tubbing in the snow. IMO, the only way to make it through winter is to embrace it, and get outside. There's nothing worse than cold with no snow. Here's hoping the storm passes over you and drops a bunch of snow where it belongs!

Now they're talkin' possible damaging winds along with hail!
I guess no soakin' for me today. :'( :'( :'(

Term,
He was just in there to take a leak......and it looks like you have one.

I'd just like to point out that here in beautiful SoCal there is not a cloud in the sky and we are in the 70's today. :)

Well Reese, I hope you are happy [smiley=angry.gif] 6" to 9" here by tomorrow. I hold you personally responsible and I will remember this Reese!!!!! :P

Ok, Again I am with Reese...(this is getting scary)..I am thrilled we are getting snow right now..although we are very close to the ice line...I keep hoping the cold air holds out and we don't get another coating of ice. I've got plenty of firewood for my stove and I have turned the tub up to 102..Tomorrow at about 5 am I will be happily calling parents to tell them [glow]NO school..it's a snow day[/glow][glow][/glow]..I just love that ::);D and we will have a family soak instead of work or school...the kids can sled right down my front yard ...the deer will come to eat the corn I put out in the back yard...I just love winter :)

What is this forum coming to? Boni and I on the same page, again! ;) :)
MLG, sorry you had to deal with some of my snow, but we had a great weekend! Spent a quiet Saturday inside waiting for the snow to appear, reading, watching movies, etc... and woke up this morning to a foot of white stuff! No commute to deal with, church cancelled, temps just below freezing, friends coming over to spend the day outside, and an afternoon of sliding, snowball fights, tunneling/carving out a snow cave and snow angels. We'll finish up with an evening by the fire, and a trip to the tub. To borrow the old beer commercial phrase -- it just doesn't get any better than this! :)
-
WEll, my snow storm has been a disappointment!l...At first it was beautiful...and the whole family hit the tub together for our first soak in the snow...we decided we would go to church and then go back in the tub for a second soak at night..but now it has turned to a wet mix of icy rain ....I tried to keep the tub cover cleared but it is a frozen mess... :( School is already delayed for the kids tomorrow...but instead of soft fluffy snow..we have nightmare weather... >:(
Have fun Reese, I am jealous! ;)
-
Reese, Glad you have a fun time outside today with your snow...my fun day in the snow consisted of shoveling. >:(
I WANT SPRING!!!!!
