Title: Too windy to soak

So the storm is over and has left us with crazy winds.  My house is usually windy but this is  ridiculous.  In the past 2 weeks we have probably soaked 3 times.  I actually threw some chlorine in today just for good measure...of course the wind blew the cover and hit me in the head!
On top of that I had to put 20lbs of weights on the corner I can't latch because it was totally flying up.

I agree.....18 inches of snow is great but those 30 mph winds added to 5 degrees is not good tubing weather

What kind of cover lifter do you have. If you have the type where 90% of the cover is above the tub when it is retracted you don't want to soak in high winds anyway. I've seen cover lifter ripped out of the side of cabinets and covers flying into neighbors yards.

Yup, I have the kind that acts like a screen.  We have already seen it blow open and closed before so I feel like it is not only dangerous for the tub but the heads sticking out of the water!  :)

We had one like that too. I replaced with the Covermate II, with the under the tub mount, from Doc.  I like it much better.  only about 6" sticks above the tub. ( I have a 92"x92" cover.

cool.  We actually could have picked any lifter we wanted but we intentionally wanted it to block the neighbors.   Trade off I guess.

Does the CMII have the lower foot rail thing?  How does that work in the snow?
