Title: Here's what I did for my retailer...
Post by: windsurfdog on January 16, 2007, 01:51:29 pm
Please excuse any repeated info for all you who have been netizens here for a while.

As you may know, I purchased my MasterSpas LSX from a dealer in Tampa (about 250 miles away) in 2004.  At the time, this dealer was the closest MasterSpas dealer to me.  About a year later, a local swimming pool dealer started carrying MasterSpas.  This dealer has been terrific to take care of my warranty issues--I've had to replace 2 spinner jets from bearing failure plus a MasterBlaster jet and a filter standpipe from plastic fatigue.  All I had to do was bring in the failed parts and within about 10 days each, a new part showed up at my door directly sent from the MasterSpas factory in Indiana...all covered under warranty...no questions asked.  Since none of these issues involved a trip to my house, I've not spent any money with them for repairs though I do make a point of buying my mineral filters from them when needed.

I really appreciate the service that I get from them so I purchased a $50.00 gift certificate to a local lunchtime sandwich eatery that is very close to their shop (and which I also like very much!) and gave it to them as a "thank you".  They were very pleased and surprised.

I'll bet there are other stories like this about customers showing their appreciation above and beyond the call of duty.  If any retailers would like to share, great!   8-)

I gave my CalSpa tech a Chili's Restuarant gift certificate just as a "Thank You"
and so he would remember me if I ever needed any help in the future.

After giving him the Chili's card....I asked for his cell phone number and
he gladly gave it to me and said "call him anytime".

 ;)

That's awesome.  I have a few customers that go out of their way every year around Christmas with thing like that, as well as cookies and (my favorite) the occasional bottle of Crown!

In the summer time, when we are primarily working with pool customers, we get little things here and there as well.

I'll be honest, it's the little things that can really make my day as well as that of my staff.

Kudo's to you!!!

Now that's cool...having your spa guys on your side is a very good thing!

Thanks, T&C...I'll bet the "Crown" customer gets "top shelf" service from you!
And "Crown and cookies"?  Sounds good...I'll have to try that! ;)

I have been offered many of things through the years and I have always refused them. I always tell them the jester is nice but I am just doing my job. I have never understand the tipping thing (unless that is part of how you are paid, like a waitress).

Well there was this one time when I was delivering pizza when I was I kid and the hot chica offered me some extra service I could not refuse ;D
