Hi all,
I think I put a little too much shock, bromine in etc when I first filled my tub yesterday.
The Bromine level was a bit too high, and I was wondering if there is a quick way of bringing the level down. i removed the Bromine floater last night and I'll check it after work today. Maybe I just have to wait a day or 2.
cheers
Rich

Pull the floater for a day. Re check.
I think using the spa would also help knock it down, but not sure if you'd want to do that if the level is high.
-
hmm...throw in some dirty laundry, put the bromine to work. ;)
Okay, not so much? How about a partial drain/refill? What is "too high" for the bromine reading, btw?
-
Give it a day or so. What I discovered is to make very small adjustments with the bromine. Cranking the floater closed too much to compensate for a high reading has resulted (for me) in not enough bromine necessitating a water change. There is some fluctuation when using a floater, once you are dialed in you'll be all set.

Rich, I remember worrying so much over the bromine levels too. I was afraid to go in if the bromine was real high.. Several on here told me not to worry...(Dr. Spa and Bosco to mention just two) and just jump in. We did, even when the test strip was "glowing".The bromine level will actually decrease just by using the tub..Alternately you can try to run the tub with the cover off for a little while. I really didn't have much luck doing that... If you are concerned that the bromine might bother your skin, just shower after you soak. Just watch that your bromine level doesn't take a fast dive since you removed the floater.
Good luck ;)

Bon, you are making me sound like I know what im talking about. Word of caution, I have been glowing green for the past year. Is this normal.
I agree, jump in and enjoy it, your oils and junk will drop the bromine level quickly
