I notice I have a sticky ring around my water line. Any idea's? I'm using baqua spa for my chemicals. I also notice a funny smell from the spray, Ideas on that too...

It's probably the Baqua!
People have complained about the ring before.
Maybe more familiar with Baqua will chime in.

Typically it is an issue of following the recipe. At start up:
Adjust TA
Adjust pH
Adjust Calcium
All before adding core products.
Then add proper dose of 1 and 2. Mix for 15 minutes. Then add #3, the sanitizer.
You need to clean the sticky goo. Make sure you are using enough Waterline Control.

Hmm, odd, I thought thte sticky goo was a by product of accidently mixing a biguanide type sanitizer with water that has a chlorine residual in it.

I used Baqua, and got that sticky ring. I scrubbed it off using the provided scrubby pad and their surface cleaner.
IIRC, it came off pretty easily.
As time passed, the grunge ring subsided, and after several months it just stopped forming. That probably took about 2 or 3 months.
