My bride and I were heading out to the spa and were greeted by this scene. We wanted our own private getaway that we didn't have to fly to. I guess it worked out.

That's beautiful...where do you live?
-
Southern Michigan
-
Real nice.....
-
Very pretty!
I love your landscaping--the unique pine and the uplighting. All of my stuff is WAY in the back of the yard and there is certainly nothing worth highlighting.
In my next life, I am building berms, planting them with cool "feature" plants, trees (no dirty ones) and shrubs, having a ton of electrical outlets and lighting, building sleeping quarters on the top level of my barn/shed with a craft area on the lower level, fabulous paver paths everywhere...the dream goes on..... ;D

great pic blue

Beautiful!!!
I like how you illuminated that Scotch Pine, I need to get myself one of those. :)
-
that is so amazing. Do you back on to open land? You should send that to the company so they can use it in their brochures. That is beautiful!!
-
That looks very inviting!
-
Bosco, we don't have that much open land, but that view is unobstructed. Just trees.
-
Now thats what I'm talking about! Its all about setting the mood. You can get a woman to do just about anything if the moods right. Thats justification alone to spend the big bucks on aesthetics
-
Yup, wouldn't even have to waste any of Mr. Dutchs' boxed wine...
-
can that mood get my wife to take over cooking responsibilities????
-
You guys crack me up.
-
Oh, it was a joke??? >:(
just kidding. Once my wife suprised me with a cooked meal when I finished work and wow. My dad always tells me to eat the whole thing with out complaining. I really dont mind cooking. Did I mention, that she made hot dogs that night.
They were so good, but frozen solid in the middle.

This year my bride said "I'd like to go someplace different for our Anniversary dinner"... So I showed her the kitchen...

start the thread and I take some pics tonight.
The view from my tub at night would be the idiot to the west who insists on keeing his back porch light on all night, or the illegals to the north bringing in more country men, or the shack to the south with the rotten privacy fence that is all but fallen down, or the neighbor's dog to the east, who still barks at us everytime he sees us.

Do I detect just a hint of resentment in your words, Oh Omnipresent Administrator?
I'd love to help you with your problem, but my Realtor powers only extend so far....
Seriously though, that sucks. :( Aren't some neighbours a treat? And I'm sure that I'm one of them! I have a dog that likes to bark at thunder, a child who loves to splash loudly in the pool with his friends, a treehouse that most definitely blocks the neighbour's view of, well... my house, a sundeck that gets used regularly after dark for entertaining (or plunking away at the guitar strings) and to top it all off, I now own a hot tub which has promoted much merriment (and in my case, nudity) and will extend the evening cacophony throughout the winter months as well! Other than that, I'm a model homeowner! ;D
