... a funnel cloud off the water?
I just came in from soaking and this is the second time I've seen it. It's really cool!
I guess it forms by an eddy as a breeze blows past my upright cover. It usually gets to about 10' or so and it's about 8" around.
And before you ask ... I was not using mind altering substances, no cows flew by and Dorothy didn't plop into my tub!

That is really cool. I get all kinds of little "whirlpools" to stare at when the jets are on, but no funnel clouds!!

That sounds awesome! Did you mean 10 feet or 10 inches? Either way, if it happens again you gotta post a picture.

It was 10 feet at least. It lasts about 3 minutes, you start to see the steam swirling, pick up momentum and then it becomes a column.
It doesn't happen too often and I only see it with back lighting, I don't know if a flash would capture it.
