Title: Stain and scale

Not sure what kind of gunk I'm finding in my tub, but it seems that after I put some Rendevous (SP?) stain and scale in my tub, I end up with a bunch of gunk like a ring around the tub.  When I wipe it up with my hand, it's kind of gray and sticky.  It also seems to really cling to the tub surface (sterling marble).  What the heck is this stuff?

this is weird. i came in here to see if anyone had a problem with ring around the spa. we have this brownish waxy sticky stuff  around the water line that i thought was my daughters hair dye. but now i'm confused because she hasn't been in there for a couple of days and it's back.

we're new to spas so i haven't a clue. any ideas?

  Mr. Clean Magic Eraser cleans it right up!  I also use it to clean the whole tub during water changes.
