Title: What's this?

So, last week we did a water change.  New N2 cartridge, etc.  

Seems we now have this little floating bubbly type foam or something on the top of the water.  Kinda like when you are doing the dishes in a sink full of water and most of the suds disappear, but you have these teensy little ones just floating on the top of the water.  

Any ideas?  We haven't had any company in the tub.  And hubby and I have not had any lotions on or suds in our suits or anything.

What are your pH, TA, CH readings?

Nope......didn't use a filter cleaner.

Will check levels tomorrow.

What did you do to service the filter?  Not that it has anything to do with your foam, I'm just curious. :)

Did you do any cleaning/polishing of the tub during the refill? Did you purge the hose prior to filling the tub?  Fill with soft water?  If none of those are issues, WSD's water balance question seems the next suspect.

Before the water change was the water OK or was it a little messy?  Did you rinse the filters before reusing them? Did you run the hose before putting the water in the tub? What chems did you put into the water?

After answering those questions (and I'm sure there will be others), if the readings are in range - hit the tub with MPS. There ain't nothing better than that for getting rid of foaming crud!
