Help :'( :'( :'(
through a lucky incedend i got an leisure bay hot tub for 400$.APP 7 y old
I have no clue how to find out what model it is and how to get an operation manual.also i would like to do some research on this tub.
any help is welcome.
-
I hope that my tub is not that bad :o :-/
I tried to research on there website but i can not find anything for older tubs.
-
Any leisure bay tub owners (6-7 years old)out there?
I would like to know what problems they have!!!
I also would like to know what the strong sides are of those tubs!
-
Hey that's great. Can't go wrong for that price.
Don't listen to that Texas guy. He is an overpriced Hotsprings dealer who uses the profits to hire trashy girls in Bikini's to lure customers in.
;D
-
sled!
do you have any experience with the leisure bay hot tub
i truly appriciate any help
-
Frank,
Does the tub work? Does it have electronic controls?
IMO if it heats water and things work enjoy your great buy. If not, decide if you have a $400 paperweight or if you want to devote some more money into it to get it useable.
Spending another $1000 on it will be about $6000 cheaper if you're happy with your find!
Just my $0.02!

No I do not sorry.
-
Frank, I would call the customer service number from the Leisure Bay website. Someone there should be able to send you an owner's manual.
You might also try posting your question at www.rhtubs.com as there are some people I've seen on there that own Leisure Bay. I can't recall seeing anyone on here that has one or sells them.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

It works perfect. :D

Try here:
http://www.leisurebay.com/Products.asp
Maybe it has something.

Just keep in mind that all spas are not created equal. You got a great deal for even a Leisure Bay. They are not noted to be the best quality or customer friendly company. Just check out http://www.ripoffreport.com and search Leisure Bay or Recreational Factory Warehouse.
Enjoy the spa for as long as you can. I'm sure you'll get plenty of time to enjoy it. When you decide it is time to replace it, start looking at the top brands like Sundance, Hot Spring, Caldera, etc. You'll find a big difference in quality.
-
I think you should call Guinness as you have the oldest working Leisure Bay spa. :)
-
Congrats Gary. For $400 you can't go too wrong. My first tub was a freebie that I had to haul to my house. It was a good way to see how much i would enjoy a hot tub and how much I would use it before buying a new tub. Ther was now way I was going to spend several thousand dollars on a hot tub only to find out after a couple of months later that I didn't care for it.
Hopefully you can get a user manual for the tub. As Terminator said, perhaps LB can help you out?
Clean the sucker out well with some swirl away and rinse it out. Hop on down to a local spa dealer and see if you can get a new filter for the unit.
Enjoy it. I hope you really have fun with it. There's a ton of folks in here who can help you with sanitizing and getting on a chemical routine.
Where are you located?

In looking at the website I've found more blue shades than my 96 crayon box.
-
Now you understand my problem

Frank,
I'm very new to this site and I'm sorry about the comment that the TERMINATOR said, >:( (Unless I'm so stupit that this was a complement) That was so rude. If I lived in TX anywere close to him I would never go into his store I guess that D1 would be the way to go not HS
(((((I am sorry to hear of your $400 loss.)))))

It's no wonder that I have read that there is so much of a markup on Hot Tub. His comments sounds a lot like the sales person that I'm talking to at HotSprings. ( HP IS THE BOMB AND NOTHING IS BETTER THAN ME) he is the idol to this assumption,, just look at what kind of pics that he puts on this wed site,, ( OOOOO LOOOOOK ATTTT MEEEE IMMMMM SOOOO GOOOOOD)
Maybe he might be able to get a few more better looking girls in his pics if he got a bigger rifle between his legs like a
M-203 or a M-50 ( Or was it an M-60 that the real Terminator carried ) ( This is my rifle and this is my gun this is for fighting and this if for fun)
BUT THATS
JUST ME

I am Located In South Carolina.
Here is a general question how many jets do we need for a good massage?????
my tub has 14jets plus all those little injectors for air.
-
Frank,
Jet count is funny thing. A good masage is more based on the type of jet, and water flow and how the jets are clustered, than the number of jets. As a rule of thumb, new shoppers are often advised to look for a variety of jets and to wet test.
My first tub had 8 jets. and simple bench seating. It was your typical dog dish style tub. It had simple directional nozzles. We had a ball in the tub. The water was hot, the jets blasting away. On snowy nights freinds would pile into it and we had a great time. After work, I'd have a glass of wine or beer and take a quiet soak.
Since you already got the tub, the jets and what not are more of a moot point. But if you are looking for reassurences if you will enjoy the tub, I am sure you will. Clean hot water is the biggest factor for water therapy. :)
For $400 bucks enjoy it. I hope it doesn't cost you a fortune to run in the winter. But since you're in South Carolina, you will not be subjected to below freezing temps...for the price you paid, you got what you got, and I wouldn't worry about jet count, or super therapy. Enjoy it. You will get a decent hot tub experience from it. :)

I apologized to Frank via e-mail that I was joshing him a bit and have tried to offer him my help. I don't know where else to send him except to his spa's company website or to doc's site. If you have any help to extend to him, I'm sure he would appreciate it.
I'm sorry that you think Tammy, Tara, Hannah, and Kat are unattractive or, as sledjunkie has alluded, "trashy". They're very nice girls trying to earn some money for college by helping to explain to shoppers how nice the jets and water feel. If you know of any nice girls that are up to YOUR standards and they would like a job, please feel free to send me their resumes.
D-1 is a very nice spa. They would certainly be on my short list if I were shopping.
I admit that most of my posts are tongue-in-cheek and in many instances are intended to be self defecating, but that's just me. I don't mean to offend most of the time. I certainly didn't mean to offend Frank.
I would LOVE to have a GE Minigun like Arnold carried in T-2!!! :)

Thanks! It sounds like I may need it. Some of the wild Injuns on this and other forums are starting to surround me.
