Title: sand in hot tub

my kids always introduce some sand in the tub!
What is the best way to get it out?

start a siphon with your garden hose.

I bought a Spa Vac ($35-55.00) that does a wonderful job of getting sand and other fine particles.  They require no electricity, and in fact, I use mine quite often to get small pockets of debris from our pool as well.

Put a shallow container of water in front of the spa steps.  
Like a wallpaper tray or something.
Walk thru the water on the way into the spa- helps keep the dirt out in the first place.
