06 D1 @ Home Sojourn
or
05 Artesian Gold Opal(brand new)
Both include steps, cover, lifter, delivery, startup chemicals. Both have a circulation pump and ozonator (@home will have optional clearzone system)
The artesian has 3 pumps.
The D1 has 2 pumps.
Both priced the same.
Can't make up my mind... Grrr....
-
How'd the wet test go?
And most importantly., what did the wife think? :)
-
Find out if the Artesian dealer is a Factory Direct Outlet. If he isn't, I would go to one of their outlet stores and you can save thousands of dollars.

Is warranty from date of purchase or date manufactured?

Decided on the Artesian Opal. I felt this was more tub for the money. I'll try an post pics in a few weeks once it's set up.
Color is Desert Horizon (oyster opal), with Country Taupe cabinet.
In the meantime I better get cracking on the slab and electrical.
-
Congrats and enjoy :)
-
Take lots of before (during) and after pictures.
Enjoy.

The Artesian Opal
Very nice. Looks like a Sundance Optima.
-
Congrats Sled. The Artisain looks nice. Do you mind me asking what the price was?
and compelety off topic....
in your pics, what's the downspout comming our of the house by your slider? I've never seen that?
Congrats again on your tub. :)
-
Thanks.
I paid $6100. It's an artesian dealer, but I won't say which one, as I know they worked hard to get me that price.
Only thing different from everyone else on this board is that I need to pick it up myself. I'm picking it up on my snowmobile trailer.
That is not a downspout. It's a vinyl enclosure I purchase to hide my refridgerent lines for the ductless mini split air conditioner, which hangs above the slider inside the house.
Here is more progress pics from this weekend

Thats really close to that hot vent, is it for a furnace of fireplace?
-
oil burning furnace vent.
Do you think that will be a problem???
-
How far away will the skirt be from the vent, how hot does it get and most important since you are picking it up youurself the dealer could wash his hands of any problems since he didn't install it. IMHO

It's 2 feet from it. It doesn't get that hot to be honest.. It's just warm air. And it's not direct exhaust. The vent pushes it out the sides, not straight out.
Maybe I'll change the vent and direct it to the side if it becomes a problem.

Concrete has been poured.. 46 bags of hell..

Picked up my Artesian Opal Yesterday. The dealer loaded it on my flatbed trailer with his forklift, and I took it home.
So far so good. It was easy getting it on my concrete slab. I simply backed the trailer up to the slab with a honda foreman 4 wheeler, tilted it down, and drove forward to ease it down.
My 4 year old daughter and I just got in from the first soak. It is 72 degrees outside here, and the water was 82(and climbing). It was a bit cold, but gave me a chance to play with the jets and such. My intial well water was 56degrees at fill up. Brrrr..
I will post many pictures, stay tuned over the next day or so...

Did she spell it that way on the concrete? We spell it Allyson. But yes she did have a good time.
-
nice concrete pad. Any pics of the tub?
-
thanks. my wife was the photographer and didn't get any good solo tub pics. However here are a couple with my daughter.
I'll get some more with the cover/lifter installed and with it filled with water.
