I don't think you'll need to leave anything on for the night.  

I throw in a teaspoon or so of dichlor and run the jets on high while i dry off and put the cover on (to circulate the dichlor).

I turn the jets off just before I lock it up for the night.

I put in dichlor and hit the clean cycle.  Jets 1 for 20 minutes, shuts off by itself.
