Title: Question for D1 owner or retailer
Post by: jgirvine on May 27, 2006, 02:25:43 pm
We purchased a D1 Triad II used.  There is no D1 dealer around us.

We are getting an error message that says clean filters and check water level or call for service.  The owners book says if cleaning the filters and adding water (it is at the middle of the tile) to turn off the power and let it reset.  We have tried all of this repeatedly.   Nothing is getting rid of the error message.

Any suggestions out there?

Thanks

You said you added water, you said you reset the spa. Have you cleaned the filters? It's where I would have started.

I cleaned the filters several times and when that didn't work, I even tried putting in new filters.  No luck.

Have you tried taking the filters out and then reseting it.  I have had the same problem with a customer.  It ended up being a bad circ pump

Yes, tried that, a couple of times.

Did you push and the D1 icon for three or four seconds?

Sounds like either the circ pump or the flow switch

But if it was the circ pump or the flow switch, would it be heating?

Thanks

Had a customer 6 months ago that the water was hot. but the circ pump was starting to spin at a slower speed. The flow switch registered that there was not enough flow and put up the clean filter icon.  We replaced the flow swich and the circuit board. It wasnt till we replaced the circ pump that everything worked correctly

when you take the filters out, look down into the housing were the filters go in,  you'll see a 6" long black cone in each housing. the filter housing on the circ pump side has a very fine stainless steel mesh strainer inside the cone and they can get plugged up. Your owners manual should have directions on how to take them out, if not PM me.
