It is NOT a "rebate" nor is it a "coupon" it is a marketing tool to get you into the store. If it were a manufacturers rebate, the dealer would have zero authority to "continue" it for you. If it were a "coupon" that would imply the manufacturer was reimbursing the dealer for the $500.00, this I can asure you is NOT happening. It is nothing more than a marketing tool. I think Jacuzzi is a darn good spa, but you can make or get the same deal with or with out the "coupon rebate." Dont believe me, tell your dealer you are buying RIGHT NOW and give me your best price with check book in hand, when he gives you his best price, spring the coupon on him and see what happens.

I went to a chain to get my Jacuzzi and they gave me a price of $6499 without coupon, when i called the next day before i bought it he said he had to go to a manager to appove it.I beleave the guy because he was pretty firm the day before,he told me i need to bring in the coupon in.I felt screw him so i called up the same dealer but in another part of town and he told me not to worry about the coupon he will make it up on his computer.Went back there a few months and told the saleslady and she was annoyed not at me but the other store for taking business away from them.Jt :-*

Reminds me of the Free Stereo promotion that Sundance put on last year.

At least the http://www.jacuzzi50.com promotion is real! I hope somebody wins that dang convertable. I don't care if it's from my store or not, I want to see a winner!

The convertable is real, but if a customer scratches a ticket and wins "$200 off your purchase!"  is it "real"?  As in, the dealer actually reduces the best deal price by $200?

"Coupon not valid with any other offer, see dealer for details." No different that any other vehicle or grocery coupon out there. And still, the $50,000 convertable is real!

Grocery Coupons are "Real".  The store will send the coupons into the distributor and get 100% reimbursed by them.

So are you saying the dealer will be reimbursed by the manufactuer and be able to truely reduce this "winners" cost by the full amount with no loss to the dealer?

When I was dealing with the Marquis dealer, I brought in a coupon for $200.00 off from their web-site. He said that was already included in the price. ???

I'd assume it works like that but a lot of people know that going in I think. I would imagine that the dealers would incorporate any coupons from the scratchers before quoting i.e. "before I quote you, let me give you one of these scratchers and let's see if we can get you some more $$ off. ;) ".
