Post by: kkn186 on May 20, 2006, 08:34:46 am
Hei Everyone

Im new, and my english arrent good, hope you understand.

Me and my dad orderet and hot tub the other day, A hotspring - Tiger river Bengal.

But we cant agree on the color?

The sides have to be gray because of the colours around the place were it stands, but we cant agree about the inside?

Anyone have seen them reel?

Blue? Silver? Sand?

Hope you understand - thanks

Have you looked at many and have a preference of your own?.  Many people prefer the sand as it doesn't show dirt or water marks as much as darker colors. But that isn't a problem for more people.  How they look with the lights on is another consideration.

The Silver is stunning. It has a peralescent qulity about it so that it bounces the blue light back with highlight at all the corners and edges.

Welcome to the forum! :)

Yes, as Chas said, the Silver Pearl is stunning as it reflects the light.  It's non-permeable, won't absorb bacteria or odors, and will last as long as you own the spa.  Good luck with your decision.

Are you saying that the sand or blue WILL absorb bacteria and odors? If so, that must be a Watkins exclusive ;)

No sir, sand and Azurite will NOT absorb bacteria, odors, or spa cooties.   And, all this protection is inherent without having to add Microban.:)

Might that be because they are acrylics, hmmmmm? Now as for rovel, or endurol or what ever name it's being called by, that a different story. Maybe they should add microban to that stuff!  :o

No. No need. The Exclusive Endurol Shell is no more or less 'absorbant' than acrylic. Keep in mind that Watkins reached the #1 postion back when all we dealers had to show was Off white Rovel.

Man! I do NOT miss those days.  ::)

Lighter colors, silver or sand will reflect light better and you will not tire of.  Lighter colors are timeless.

On the other hand, Darker colors tend to absorb light and the visual affect draws focus to a spot or dirt at the water line.

You will tire of a darker color quicker than a lighter color and they are usually the "fashion" color of the decade.  We still have some Mauve Hot Tubs in service and they now hate the color.  My wife once had an all Avocado kitchen, remember that color, those of you who are old enough to remember?  As much as she loved it, in five years she learned to hate it.

Go with the Lighter color.  Silver and Sand are beautiful and timeless and much more appealing. 8)

Azurite has surprised the heck out of us. We as a dealer thought blah, but it's flying.

Who is this Azurite? I though I was the only one here who can fly? Is she cute?

Actually, my mother lived there for 2 years. I'm sure you'll love sitting in hot water in your cold winters. Hope the 8 weeks goes by quickly!

If you are getting the grey sides, I vote for a silver shell.

I would NOT get blue.

just my opinion.

I saw a red D1 yesterday. It looked pretty sharp.
