Title: Food and Wine Festival
Post by: East_TX_Spa on April 30, 2006, 02:09:04 pm
Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards in Pittsburg, TX, hosted a Food and Wine Festival on Saturday April 29.  We set up a HotSpring Envoy connected to a generator.  I had to work at the store all day, but as soon as we closed, I headed out to have some fun and celebrate!

When I got to the festival around 7:00, I found my underling Amy selling her little heart out.  Notice the passion she has!  A salesperson has to have that if they are to be successful:

The total attendance ended up being about a thousand people.  There were booths set up with all kinds of food, gifts, and several Texas wineries were there:

Just across from us were my friends from Tobacco Junction.  Shawn fired me up an Arturo Fuente Churchill on the house, and I proceeded to enjoy the fool out of it over the course of the next 2 hours (even though my verbose nature allowed the flame to die more than once, it was easily reignited):

Off to the grub!  Had to get some World Famous Pittsburg Hot Links!!!!!  The nice lady put me some in a bowl, dumped some hot sauce on it, and dang near killed me with flavor.  Kris Kristofferson evidently loves the links as he had his picture made with them:

Amy wanted a taste of my stogie, so I obliged her.  She normally will not accept stogies from anyone but her husband, but she knows I always practice proper oral hygiene. You can also see a little boy wearing an ANGER shirt to the right (whatever the hell that means):

Then she touched my leg and it made me nervous, so I left:

Saw about 8 of my customers at the festival.  These two guys own a Bengal and an Envoy, respectively.  The two ladies are not their wives, but I'll never tell and I'd appreciate it if ya'll didn't either:

Got me some tacos.  In between, I ate a mufalletta but forgot to take pictures.  All the food was orgasmical!

I had too much wine and started dancing on the spa.  Amy got a pic right before I puked on that kid.  I then fell off into the grass and rested a spell:

Some drunken customers of mine that own a Prodigy and like Johnny Cash stopped by to say Howdy!  The only way I knew this is when I woke up this morning back home and saw the picture.  I guess we gave someone the Italian heebie jeebie:

That's about all.  I found a bunch of fancy good smelling homemade soap, a bag of cigars, a pie, some cookies, and a Mexican hat in the back of my car this morning, so I'm thinking I had a really good time last night.

We're about to have Savanna's 8th birthday party at 3:00 so I've got to go.  See ya'll later.

Amy's a good gal and she does a great job helping me out.

sandiego- I sure did have some wine.  I'm not much of a connoisseur as I prefer Shiner Bock Beer, but I enjoyed Los Pinos' Pinky Tuscandero table wine as well as Kiepersol Estates Texas table wine.  They were sweet wines that had a very mild, fruity flavor.

JMcD- Pittsburg Hot Links are from Pittsburg, TX, a small town about 40 miles north of here.  They don't spell very good up in that part of East Texas and they're a bit lazy as well, so there's no "H" on the end.  Pilgrim's Pride Chicken is headquartered there.  Bo Pilgrim built a $13 million mansion right at the edge of this little podunk town and it is a sight to behold.

Here in SoCal our cars have had inside releases on the trunk lids for many years. They had them in English and Spanish at first, then they dropped the English. The Hispanics got upset about that, so they went to hieroglyphics.

My question is how often do you eat at Rolly Polly?  I saw it on the Marquis.

Dang near every day.  Tried to get them to put a sandwich slot in our connecting wall so I wouldn't have to walk next door.  I ate there 4 times one day.  I hold the record.

Two sets of parents just built new homes and are in the market for a spa.  When I had the kids alone, I told them to whine and whine about wanting a spa until their parents give in.  Their party favor bags also contained a HS Rubber Duck and HotSpring, Tiger River, Solana, and HotSpot brochures.

;) ;D

I didn't invite my daughters' real friends, just the one's that have money and a couple of kids who's parents had been in shopping last week.

The CD she got was the final straw and she is not talking to me.  Good thing I got another one on the way.

My kids have worked with us in our biz since before they were born. The spousal unit would tell the ladies how the tub eased her backaches when she was carrying our kids.

If one of my kids ever messes up - very rare: they are truly great people - I always threaten them that if they don't straighten up and fly right I'll make 'em keep working for us for the rest of their lives.

If anyone's wondering what the water looked like this morning after 10 little girls played in it for 2 hours yesterday:

Turn the jets on......

There's gotta be a ton of foam. What's your recipe for getting rid of foam?

The foam's not bad at all.  I put a tablespoon of chlorine in and about 4 drops of anti-foam before I left yesterday.  I'll rinse the Tri-X Filters tomorrow.

Very smart Term. What a great place for a party. I bet you could make a fortune doing that in my area. Anyway, it looks like you have a nice store and a good  boss. Take some more pics of the showroom sometime. It looks like a great store.

The real geniuis was, it wasn't even his daughter's birthday.

"Honey, would you like to help daddy sell some spas and get some free gifts while doing so?"

"Sure, but I also want 10% of the net".

I've heard rumors it wasn't even his daughter. He rented her from some Big brother/Big Sister organization.
