Title: Thinking of buying an LAspa Y or N?
Post by: mommay4 on April 24, 2006, 11:35:00 pm
:-/ I was out shopping spa and found a dealer for LA Spas.  I am new to this and want to make sure I am making the right decision.  The pricing is good and the product looks nice as well as the specifications.  Can anyone tell me if you have any knowledge of this product and whether you give it thumbs up or down?  Thanks!!

What other brands are offered in your town?  I know some folks who used to sell LA and would never offer them to anyone again.  One guy now sells Sundance and one sells Caldera and both have been very happy ever since making the change.  LA does seem to make a lot of dealer changes where companies like Sundance, D1, Hot Spring, Marquis, etc tend to keep their dealers a long time.  I think it say something about the brand.

LA Spas are very flashy, though.  Just don't overestimate flash.

What was that about obvious bias you accused me of?

Mom,
L.A. was sold a couple of years ago and the previous owner did allow alot of things to go un-tended to ( such as not giving dealers alot of support, so yes many did switch)  Since the new owners, however, many changes have been made for the good.  Key people have been hired in Production/Quality Control etc...so you should not hesitate if you find a model that you are comfortable with.  There are many people on this forum and others that have L.A's and love them.  L.A. just doesnt get as much press as the big 4 or 5.  That doesnt mean they aren't a good choice.
