What is the latest word on Jacuzzi spas. I am going to wet test the 85 and 75. How do they compare to hot springs envoy and vista. Thanks
-
The latest is....one of the top spa manufacturers in the world. Compare favorably to HS. If it fits you and you like it better than others, its the spa for you.

I've had a 385 since December and I am very happy with it. But there are other tubs out there that are just as good, maybe even better. They aren't cheap and you owe it to yourself to check them all out before you buy.
-
I have a j335 that cost much less than other models and provided exactly the therapy I was seeking for my back. the extra features made it even more attractive.
CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY JACUZZI FROM OASIS SPAS IN ORLANDO!!!!!
They no longer have a service department, contract out service work with Waterline Spas who sell Marquis but is handling Jacuzzi's service calls, and you will pay service fees on warranty work. Oasis is not keeping there promises they make at purchase. There showroom is appointment only and you will be lucky to find the same rep working more than a week or so.
Aside from that, Jacuzzi spas are very well built and i am very hapy with mine after nearly a year. If you live in Central Florida, beware. If not, you will probably be backed by a great company.
-
Not to be nit picky, but your issue is with the dealer not the brand, your "caution" should read...."If I were you I would avoid buying A spa from Oasis....."As far as warranty service goes, in this day and age of $3.00/gallon gasoline, it is not in any way unreasonable for a dealer or service company to charge for house calls, weather they sold you the spa or not.
CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY JACUZZI FROM OASIS SPAS IN ORLANDO!!!!!

I though it was clear that i was stating the dealer rather than the manufacturer, I read it again and now I am positive that's what i stated. What are you seeing that I am not?
"Aside from that, Jacuzzi spas are very well built and i am very hapy with mine after nearly a year. If you live in Central Florida, beware. If not, you will probably be backed by a GREAT COMPANY (HOW IS THAT!!????)"
Allow me to make it clearer:
JACUZZI IS A GREAT SPA AND BRAND THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR 50 YEARS. OASIS SPAS IN ORLANDO SUCK AND WILL NOT BE AROUND MUCH LONGER. UNFORTUNATELY, JACUZZI ALLOWS THERE NAME TO REPRESENTED BY OASIS SPAS IN ORLANDO. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP REGARDLESS OF THE PRICE OF A GALLON OF GASOLINE. THEY WILL TELL YOU SERVICE IS INCLUDED IN YOUR WARRANTY BUT IT IS NOT.
-
If your looking at the 375 and 385 you owe it to yourself to look at the new j-400 series. It is the Jacuzzi corperations new flagship models. But you can't go wrong with a Jacuzzi 375 or 385

MMMM, makes me all warm and fuzzy. ;)

Hey Wisoki,
You wouldn't happen to be a Jacuzzi dealer would you? If so, sorry if I ruffled your feathers!

The warranty papers on my spa do not have a dealer gasoline excise fee. If a dealer requires higher compensation for performing warranty work, it should be between the dealer and the manufacturer. I do not see why the consumer should get screwed in this case.
-
Question: About the new J400, How do you cover the 400 with a cover, when its higher on part of the tub? I must not be looking at it right.
-
Snowbird,
That is my sentiments exactly. Nothing in my warranty papers either about gasoline or service fees, thus my pissed off attitude at the dealer and NOT JACUZZI (OK WISOKI???)If I pushed the issue, perhaps Jacuzzi would cover it.
That's all I am going to say in this thread as there are people looking for answers on models and Wisoki is getting all warm and fuzzy. ;D

Jacuzzi designed a new style cover and it works great. That was my first question but as usual Jacuzzi was one step ahead of me. That new design with a raised back makes for the most impresive waterfall and light show I have seen yet.

Please push the issue. This is how Jacuzzi weeds out the bad dealers. They need to know.

It costs all of us to buy gas. Why is it the responsibility of the spa owner to cover your overhead? My customers do not and will not pay for warranty work.
-
You know what, I AM gonna push the issue because they're big fat liars who say anything to sell a spa.
In fact, there big fat lies made me tell my cash paying buddy to make sure he didn't buy a spa from them and he is now awaiting delivery on a Marquis Epic.
I'm also sure the free spa bar accessory OASIS SPAS OF ORLANDO offered me to bring in a customer would have been out of stock or required a fee due to the rising gas prices.
Shame on you OASIS SPAS.
DO NOT BUY A SPA FROM OASIS SPAS IN ORLANDO

Free bar accessory.....a bottle opener, perhaps? ;D ;)

Pretty tuff crowd here today. Just to take some of the heat off of Wisoki, the initial statement was about a customer's "attitude" about HIS "dealer". Yes, it is a disappointment when relationships "breakdown", but should it be a reflection on your product choice much less "broadcast" your unfortunate "luck of the draw"?
As for the price of gas, or what is covered or not coverered in each individuals "perception" of what a warranty provides for and by whom, go to "warranty fee / travel charge" thread.
It sure is tuff keeping ALL of you happy at the same time, but were sure are trying.
And besides, not to be a smart a$$ here or rile your feathers, but, if your dealer charges a fee to come out, take it in. That is what one very well known brand name dealer does in this town, it says so right on his bill of sale in 5 point type, "all warranty work done free of charge on our premisis".

WOW! :o Over a year now and still seething venom, lashing out with retaliation, one evil deed deserves another and another, and another. Spead the joy and the warm feeling of being in Hot Water. Your Hot Tub must not be doing a good job for you, relax and forget about it. Why do you want to repeatedly remind us.
I wish I could make a difference for you but I am too for north to help.
-
well, it's obviously a story the dealers don't like seeing, and understandably so with so many potential buyers reading the forum and the regular consumer likes to read, also understandably.
I love my tub and it IS working, but I was shafted by a bad dealer here and if that bothers you to read.....nah, I won't say it as I have spewed venom enough for one year.

(Snowbird's post is gone)
Snowbird,
Once again, my thoughts exactly. I am also in a line of work that teaches that if a customer has a good experience, they will tell a friend and if they have a negative one, they will tell 10. I work my ass off to buy the things I like for myself and my family and come from a background where your word and a handshake should always be kept firm and I expect the same in return.
A contract was signed offering service and parts covered for a specified term and $80 service fees weren't in that deal regardless of rising gas costs.
I have benefitted by learning to do a lot of stuff myself and will pony up my $80 when something breaks that i can't fix myself. I won't shut up and i won't go away any time someone is asking questions that might be answered by my own experiences. the pen is mightier than the sword and a big mouth added in is really annoying to those who might benefit by putting themselves in their customer's shoes for a minute and listen to themselves speak in the heat of the sale. You're coreect about it being tough to keep everybody happy all the time and sometimes it's a tough crowd. But Karma is a real bitch and always comes around.
I'm out.

Quoting Jacuzzi warranty:
"There will be no charge for parts and labor to repair the defect...You may be assessed reasonable repairman travel milage charges."
-
Orlandoguy...sorry to hear about your problems with Oasis. That really does suck!! We bought our Epic from Waterline. How's that working for you?
Have you called Jacuzzi corporate and complained? I would be giving Jacuzzi and earfull about Oasis. Even though it may have noting to do with the Jacuzzi brand, I wouldn't think that corporate would want their product being representing by a dealer that can't support the warranty.
-
Not yet Cappy. I fixed the problem which was simply a jet that had come loose. I also fixed the stuck air valve myself and am thinking of going into the spa tech business!
I wonder why Snowbird's previous post dissappeared. It was really well written and echoed my sentiments exactly and showed the feelings of a fellow consumer.
Ironically, I have been dealing with your dealer who has me wondering why I didn't go with my gut feelings about Oasis Spas and check out a Marquis. It isn't their fault about the service fee as Oasis is contracting them to do their service and isn't covering the transportation costs.
-
You need to call corporate. They may not even know what's going on. I would just be all over that. I can't imagine that they want someone like Oasis representing their 50 year old name--the most recognizable name in the industry. Yell and yell loud!!
J_McD...you were pretty rough on orlandoguy. Isn't it great that he hasn't had any problems but he's concerned with the "what if". I think any consumer would feel the same way. It would be different if the dealership just went out of business but it hasn't. It's just the crappy way they are dealing with customers.

(Snowbird's post is gone)
Sorry og. As soon as I posted it I realized it belonged in the "warranty fee/ travel charge" thread. I moved it within 1 minute and I hoped no one saw it here. You must be watching this closely.

Lost on deaf ears.......most of the mfrs have that caveat.
I asked and my dealer does not charge service calls in a 30 miles radius as policy and he volunteered to add that to the sales contract. But I am fortunate enough to have an excellent dealer. The spa may be great, but the dealer can really influence overall satisfaction.
