Monday I drained and cleaned tub as normal, rinsed and refilled. water was clear, I added metal-x per the instructions and ran tub for 2 hours. I added Dichlor and ran another 2 hours. Tuesday I get home to cloudy water, so I ran the tub for another 2 hours after its normal 4 hour filter cycle and its still cloudy, any ideas?

I also have to add metal-out upon refilling. However, the instructions on the brand I use says to wait 48 hrs after metal-out before you shock with Chlorine. This gives the minerals time to get grabbed up by the filter. Maybe you added the dichlor too soon after???

Double checked the label and it said 1 hour?

Are you filling with well water?

Yes I have well water, but never had this problem before.

Give it a day or so and if it is still cloudy, give it the old clarifier/foam scooping/filter cleaning routine. If that doesn't work, invest in Perrier before you buy that tanker full.... ;D

mine did the same thing in January when I drained and filled it. were your PH and Hardness levels different than last time?
I use bromine, I shocked (with more than what I normally use) and it's clear now. but I'm new to this,
so I am not sure if this is sound advice.

I check the ph and hardness Tuesday night and they were fine and the same as usual. Maybe I just need to give it time.

I dont have well water, but perhaps just let it go for a few days. I find that during some water changes, my water goes a little cloudy. Now I only add the bare minimum before I try to get all off my levels straigt. Usually wait a week before ph and alk and all that stuff.
