Hi all .... I had the cover open yesterday during the day and noticed I have some mildew on the underside of it. The mildew is outside the tub shell on the underside of the cover. I can tell where the cover sits on the tub by the slight discoloration from the chems. Is there something that can be put on this that wont hurt the shell and the cover? Thanks

I put 303 protectant not only on the top but also the underside of the cover. That seemed to have taken care of my mildew problems.

I use a bleach and water solution every so often to clean the bottom of the cover. Afterward I use the 303 as st18901 said.

303.......don't leave home without it! 8)

Thanks for the info !! It looks like 303 will be my next purchase.

One thing I found by using 303 on the inside is that when the water forms on the cover it drips the 303 into the tub. I noticed it one day while I was taking the cover off.
This may cloud the water.

That's all I've ever used; 303 is great but I keep it on the outside of the spa.

Actually, when I use 303 I apply it to the plastic air controller knobs, the plastic filter compartment face and top and the controller panel as well as 100% top and bottom of the cover. Invariably, some drips into the tub and I've never seen any cloudiness......on the contrary, I've noticed that it acts as an effective defoamer solution! I haven't traded in my defoamer but I heartily endorse 303's use without detriment to water chemistry.
