Title: What's new in 06' for Caldera?
Post by: Gomboman on January 09, 2006, 02:07:51 am
OK, what's new in 06' for Caldera? Let's try to keep this positive for Caldera fans and potential customers waiting for the new models.

The Tahitian is no longer available in the Paradise series. It is still available in the Utopia series and has the "Atlas" neck jets added to it. All Utopia and Paradise series spas will now have stainless steel jet escutions. The Palomar has been moved from the Highland series to the Paradise series and a water feature has been added. they have added a new Highland model, I forget the name, but it is a small 2 seater triangular shape with cut corners, more like a diamond shape. Lastly, prices have increased substantialy.

What's the water feature look like?  Does it look good?  I really like water features on the spas personally.

Good selling this year, Wisoki! :)

It looks exactly like the waterfall on the utopia Geneva, Niagra and Tahitian EXCEPT it is NOT built in to the filter lid, it is built into the spa shell next to the filter housing and THANKFULLY it does not look like three guys in a peeing contest  ;) Good sales 2U2!

Wisoki,
Are these the same ss escutions that Hotspring has switched to? Probably not possible to be completely interchangeable with all Watkins products? Is the Caldera CD Ozone similar to the HS Freshwater CD Ozone?

As you stated, they are not interchangeable, but yes, watkins is putting stainless on all their (for lack of a better term) higher end spas. I think this is a "chase Sundance" thing. I know many manufacturers do the stainless thing, but few do it as well as Sundance. I'm sure the quality in Caldera and their red headed step child Hot Spring will be excelent. (no offense to red heads, I love 'em!)
