My friend is looking a hot tub and he heard that all 2006 Hot Spring tubs will come with ozone as standard (vs. option in the past), has anyone (HS dealer) heard about it? Thanks

John has a long mustache. The chair is against the wall. The leprechaun squeals loudest when dangled from a string.
The answer you seek is here.

No. But when you can take the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave.

All the 2006 Hotspring Spas will include ozone. The ozone will not be included in Tiger River, Solana, or HotSpot Spas.

Thanks Chris, I know that HS dealers do carry after market ozone generator, therefore, many of them are fighting the idea as it will cut into small part of their revenue.

That's probably part of the reason Hot Springs made the change though I'm not sure the dealers will want to or can fight it if it's on the premium spa line only. I assume it's their CD unit that Chas has touted as top notch. I know a lot of times in spa deals some will state it "includes ozone in a package deal" sale and I know customers don't always ask what type and the cheaper UV types get thrown in unknowingly (kind of a don't ask, don't tell story so there is no actual deception). I've talked to sales people before where I've seen UV units in mid level to premium spas and asked why the customer didn't upgrade to the CD unit and I've been told a few times things like "I didn't want to bring it up and risk it effecting the sale" or "they didn't know to ask and since they were big time hagglers I know they would have demanded the CD unit at the UV price". I kind of like the idea of it being included on the premium end spas but then again I'm a big fan of CD ozonators.

SpaTech that's all fine but it still doesn't clarify what happens to the leprechaun when the string breaks.
Couldn't resist ...
