Yes, believe it or not, my Epic has arrived!!
I did not hear anything all week, so I called the dealer yesterday and they said it arrived. I'm not sure why they didn't call and tell me this, but at this point I don't really care. I just hope my future dealings with them improve!
Anyway, they are suppose to deliver it today. I'm crossing my fingers that they show up and everything is as expected. Today is suppose to be the first day in weeks above freezing, so it should be a good day for an install.
Now I need to go shovel off the patio. I'll keep you all posted and I'm sure I'll have a million questions. Wish me luck!

Congrats, jd!! Trust me, you're gonna LOVE the Epic. After six weeks of ownership, I still can't believe how great this tub is. If you need any help on anything just post or pm me. I'm not an expert but can share some little things with you.
Good luck on the delivery. I hope it goes without a hitch. If it doesn't, the first soak will make it seem like a distant memory! :)

congrats on the tub making it there. as far as why they didnt call you, the truck could have been a late arrival. not making excusses for them. i personally had a delay in shipment due to a trucking issue. the dealer might have wanted to make sure the truck was there, with your spa before he called. i know it would have been nice to know it arrived, but if you got the call saying it was going to show up, and it didnt...that would have put a bigger negative to the dealer. again, i am not making excuses, just trying to point out what happened in my last delivery. the EPIC is a great tub. i know you will enjoy it for years to come. congrats again!!

Well I sent you a Private message asking a couple questions and didnt get a reply, so I know you'll be posting again on this post so here is the questions! We are all so happy that your finally getting your epic! Your gonna love it. Its a rockin spa and its the perfect thing to come home to after a hard days work! Well keep us informed on pics, questions and any other info you may have!
well I have read the negative post that you have put on here about your dealer. Me being partial to the marquis brand I'm wondering what kind of negotiating have you done with the dealer? What has the dealer done for you? Did you think about possibly taking a floor model? what about an epic in stock "still in the packing material"? Hopefully you'll have in SOON!

Sorry, I don't have time to give any details right now. I have to leave the house shortly and will not be back until tomorrow night.
The Epic is setup and warming. There were a couple hitches, but it went pretty smoothly for the most part.
I will give details later when I am back in town.

Congratulations JD!!!!You are going to love it! I can't wait to hear about your first soak. I don't remember if you said you had kids or not, but my kids are enjoying it every bit as much as my husband and me! Be nice and let your wife have the Adirondack chair (like I let my hubby) and head for the therapy pillar and neck jets across from the waterfall..it's heaven!! ;D

Ok, I am back and we are loving the Epic!! We've used it the last two nights and I never want to get out of it!! Yes, we do have kids, but one is away at college and the other hasn't been around to use it.
As for the dealer, things have improved drastically. They showed up early for the install. They spent hours with me that day and they are coming back this week to go over all aspects of the tub and to answer any questions that I have.
They even threw in some extra chemicals and 4 spinner jets.
As for the issues during the install. There was some water left in one pump and some of the hoses at the factory, so one of the pumps was frozen and would not work. It took some doing, but they got the pump thawed and running. The hoses on the other hand would not thaw right away since the water temp was only 59 degrees, but after 5 hours or so, they thawed out and everything was working fine.
So far so good with the chemistry. Our community well water was not very pretty (tea color). After clarifier and shock it has cleared dramatically. I haven't had a chance to check it today, but it should be clear by now. They said it would take 2 or 3 days to clear up.
Anyway, we are sure loving it and you were all right, the long wait seems a distant memory. I will try and get some pics posted sometime this week.
Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Congrats!
I understand the frustration with getting a new tub. As exciting as it is, it is also a long process of selection, negotiation, prep work, anticipation. It can be overwhelming.
But....it's over. You got your tub and your cold winter nights will never be the same. :D
You might wanna rinse out those filter(s) pretty soon since you said your town water was a bit on the "murkey" side.
Enjoy!

Thanks Drewstar!! I checked the filters yesterday and they were as brown as can be. We have a lot of manganese in our water, I should have expected this. They cleaned up pretty good.
Too bad I have a brown ring around the tub now. I cleaned it off with Natural Clear, per the dealer. We will see if it comes back. They also had me add more Metal and Stain Remover. Hopefully this will keep it away.
My dealer is looking into what else should be done because of our high manganese content.
Any advice? Is Metal Gone the same as Metal & Stain remover? I've read about this in another post.
