Cappykat's beautiful project has really inspired my guys to get moving! We have moved the bushes, dug and poured the footers and cut the posts for the deck. I am happy that things are moving along but should I slow these guys down to allow the electrician to come in before the decking goes on? I know electricians can just about get under anything, but even without this decking, he will still need to go under my pool deck to access the house. :-/

Bonibelle, I'm certainly no expert but just based on what we almost went through with the electrical (and they still had to dig through the newly laid landscape to bury the ground wire)...I'd get that done before I put deck down. Just one less thing to worry about.

Good luck with your project Bonibelle. Take your time doing it and I am sure when it is done, you will thoroughly enjoy it!!

Payton, everytime I see your photos I drool! What are the sizes of your deck areas?

Payton, your deck is fantastic. Was it ever in a magazine or featured in a spa ad? I know I have seen it before.
(Unless it was on here, my memory is really bad). In any case, it is really outstanding!

Thank you Cappykat and Bonibelle.
Both decks measure 24' x 16' each. There is also a lower deck on the left side as well where we do our grilling.
Bonibelle, you probably saw the pictures here from some of my earlier posts. Good luck with your project and if you have any questions, post away!!
I will be putting some new pictures on the board by the weekend as we had the decks stained and added landscape lights around the lower deck.
