2004 Marquis Euphoria , had about a year and yes loving it, but in the summer, tub temp was @ 102 and I turned it down to 98 ,checked the next day temp was @ 104, turned it down to 80, next day temp was @ 106.
Tub is well maintained filters cleaned weekly when I shock. Tub is outdoors and in the sun most of the day, but still seems a little odd to me. Outdoor temps were probably in the 90's. During cooler months theres no problem tub performs flawlessly.
Any insight greatly appreciated, LIL

Try propping up the cover a bit to allow some heat to escape, or set up some type of screen for the direct sun.
Moving the heat setting from 98 to 80 wouldn't do much to help, since the water temperature was already above the 98 setting. You might try double checking the water temperature with a thermometer just to be sure that the reading is accurate.

How long are you running the filter times.....I would suggest that you set them to 2 times a day for 2 hours and than set the smart logic (auto clean up after use) for also 2 hours this might help.....
