Just had a guy come into my store asking about swim spas. He had been at the State Fair of Texas and stopped by the Master Spa booth. I was at the same booth last week looking around. They had a large Sunbelt swim spa up and running. This is what the man was told by the MS rep:
"We are with the factory, so all prices are wholesale. This swim spa is $24,000 but we are offering them for $17,000 at the fair. Not only that, but if you buy, you will get a $10,000 rebate in 3 years. MS doesn't do any advertising so we pass these savings along to you."
Now, all you sharp spa selling pros, how many holes can you find in the above statement. I count at least 5.
A personalized autographed Tammy pic for the person who comes up with the most misrepresentations.

(1) Logic Gap. Even if i belive they're "with the factory", that does not necessarily equate to wholesale prices. Sounds good though.
This swim spa is $24,000 but we are offering them for $17,000 at the fair.
(2) Hmmm, 30% off?? Let's see an invoice for a $24k sale, just one!
Not only that, but if you buy, you will get a $10,000 rebate in 3 years.
(3) The only thing you'll get in 3 years is red in the face for ever being naive enough to believe the fairy tale that someone was going to give you a $10k rebate.
MS doesn't do any advertising so we pass these savings along to you.
(4)I don't know how much mainstream advertising they do but I count those ongoing, deceptive "Multi-Manufacturer" ;) Spa Shows they promote and put on across the country.
(5) Therefore, I don't see any extra savings to pass on let alone believing that they'd apss them over to me!

We can only assume that it may be true that he is a factory representative but nowhere did you say he stated that he "lives in" the factory. Chris is "Leading" the witness. I call for that statement to be stricken from the contest and he be removed from the courtroom!!!

Now... ya see..., I looked at this from a different approach. I found the flaw in the idea that someone from Texas could count to 5. ::)

Guys from Texas may not be the best counters but they can get to 5 no problem. In fact, they can get all the way to 20 if they take off their shoes (assuming they're wearing some) and even 21 if they're nekked.

9. The "guy" may in fact have been at a different booth, as the two of them were there on different occations, and neither observed the other in the same booth he was in.
10. I would surmise that Terminator in fact does not have this autographed picture of Tammy, but is making all this up simply to toy with us.
Of course if he does, my first nine "holes" will assure that I will receive the picture no later than end of business day next Friday.

More speculation and innuendo from these internet lawyer wannabes. They shame my profession!!! I'll bet this hack really isn't even a Doctor!!!

A guy did walk into my store.
He did ask about swim spas.
He had been to the same booth as I.
I sent a request this morning to Crank at our Shreveport store to have Tammy do a personalized photo spread for you guys.
I suggested the shopper look at D-1 and Hydropool for swim spas. Does anyone else make them? If so, I'll put in a plug for you the next time someone come's looking. Sunbelt is the only one being sold in this area and I cannot recommend them with a clear conscience.
