Title: International pool and spa expo
Post by: orlandoguy on October 13, 2005, 06:49:01 pm
I see that the International pool and spa expo here in orlando on November 1 is expecting 18000 delegates.  That's a lot of people and certainly some from here must be attending?

I'm bypassing the Orlando Show this year. Instead I will be attending the Aqua Show in Las Vegas, in November. We are not a Pool Company, we specialize in Spas only and the Aqua Show is great for Spa Dealers. Also, we will be touring the new Artesian Spas manufacturing plant in Vegas and attending 2 days of tech seminars, at the new facility. That was a big reason also, for skipping Florida for Vegas. Anyone else headed to the Vegas or Orlando Shows? The Orlando  show comes first. I'm curious to see if there will be anything new or hot to speak of for 2006. Dave.

Heading for both, have to be at a meeting in Orlando and will be looking for what's new on the floor.  Might take some time to have breakfast with Mickey and Minne then we will check out the Aqua show in Vegas.  Probably will see NJDave at the factory.

I won't be in Florida and it doesn't look like I'll be in Vegas either. :(

I've got 3 new dealers set to receive their initial orders all around mid Nov and I need to be around for support and training. I'm like a bra.... ;) (training & support) ::)

Sorry Mendo...nuther time my friend.

Steve

LA Spas chose to skip the Orlando show.  Instead they are doing the Vegas & the Atlantic City shows.
So I too will be looking for things to do in Vegas that noone can talk about.   :o   ;)

Come on now.  The IP you can do better than that.  Harrah’s just bought it so it may get renovated soon.  There has got to be a hotel that costs under $100 bucks out there that is nicer than the IP.

I would recommend “The Hotel at Mandalay Bay.”  It was definitely the nicest room I have ever stayed at even though it was just for a night earlier this year.

The Mandalay is very nice....I have a free 3 day stay at the IP and thinking I might as well take advantage of it...lol....unless someone knows that even at free its not worth staying there.

Its been about 7 years since we stayed at the IP... but IME, its a basic room nothing special, but not nasty either.

They did have the best looking girls serving drinks though... they were young with Tammy like assets falling out of their tops.   :o   :D

I love to stay in a nice room in Vegas but in the end it's Vegas and I don't really care much cause I don't spend much time in the room. All I need is a comfy bed, clean sheets, no cigarette smell, clean towels, hot water and directions to the poker tables.

It seems like it 15 years ago I was last at the IP and that is the memory I took from the place.... ;)

Check out AmericaWest.com  They have great prices for combined air fare and hotel. they have most of the major hotels, available with the fly packages. I booked with them last year, when I went to the Vegas Show. Total price including Air Fare to and From Phildalephia, 3 nights stay at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino and Tax was just $320. I am going to book my reservation tomorrow. I am staying longer this time. I have to arrive Saturday Night, as Artesian Spas has its first seminar at 9:00 am Sunday morning. Hope they will have plenty of coffee.

I don't have to tell her, she knows though I'm not rude enough to blow her off and spend the entire time there.

Actually I always preferred Diet Rite to Tab.   ;)

We need to come up with a way to find each other.  Steve & I will be easy, we will be in our booths.  ( Steve will be in the Hydropool booth w/ the big red ball on his nose  ;D )

Hey Gang,
I just boked my air and hotel for Vegas. I'm staying at the Luxor. The agent said the Luxor has a monorail that takes you right to the Mandalay Hotel/ Convention Center. Sure beats waiting in line for cabs. Dave.
