Title: How is this for Water Features?
Post by: NJDave on October 18, 2005, 12:36:09 am
How is this for water features? Customer called me to service this tub for him. He called with a no heat problem. When I turned on the pump. The diverter valve on this Master Spa blew up and 10 feet of water shot into the sky.  Pretty Wild(http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6346/10009461lq.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Hey Bob,
Thanks, for the tips on posting photos. That little duck is caught in the rapids. This was the first time, I ever saw a geyser like this one. Two seconds after turning on the pumps, it erupted. Mount St. Helens in Cherrry Hill, New Jersey.I ran to grab the disc camera in the truck to snap this one.  Dave.

I had the same thing happen in my showroom once.  I was showing a customer how to use the diverter to change the jets and BOOM.   :o   :o

The customer said the spa was 5 years old. A real gusher. I have seen this happen once before. But, not with this much pressure. The height of that water stayed up high, while I ran to the truck, to grab the camera and snap a shot, before it flooded out New Jersey anymore.

Great Picture, it also looks like the spa is not up to electrical code as it is placed too close to the compressor and electrical shut off box.

Good Eye Guzz,
Your right. the disconnect and compressor are only about 3 feet away, not good with that geyser erupting next to it. Dave.
