The Marquis dealer in my area has a used Hot Springs Grandee. They said it was a 2000 model with ozone, cover and lift. Delivered asking price was $4,500.
They said they went through it all and it is running just fine. The headrest are looking a little worn, but not cracking. They said I could wet test it.
This is about 1/2 the price of a new one. What do you think?
Does this seem a little high to anyone else but me or do they really hold their value?

if they will give you some sort of warranty (maybe 90 days) that would be even better. Even if hey dont, its a good deal. Assuming everything works. Wet test and see.

I called my local Hot Spring dealer yesterday to find out used prices. They told me that they hold their value so well, that it almost isn't worth buying them used. I asked about the Tiger River Bengal... he had a new one for $5595 and 2 1997's, one for 4k and one for $3500. All of their spas also came with a 90 day warranty and you could buy a one year warranty for $350.

I agree. Heck, they said they went over it so a 90 day warranty seems reasonable. Otherwise, I think a fairly new used spa is a good option in many cases IF it's a quality spa.
