Title: A winter problem?
Post by: amat1950 on September 26, 2005, 01:10:19 pm
Last night it was cool here in NY state. We were in the tub and we put the waterfall (Tiger River Siberian) on and the water that first came out of it was cold. Is that going to present a problem in the winter beig the tub is  outside and we plan to use it through the winter?  ???

Just for the first few moments.  If it's a problem for you, you can simply run the jets for a few seconds before you get in.

Was your thought that it may freeze in the winter? My Envoy does the same thing and I wondered about freezing.

I've been through one winter already with no problem.  I never measured the temperature of the water but I would bet that it stays well above freezing.  It just seems cold compared to the tub.

Oh, how I wish I was having your problems. I read you all talking about the cool weather you're having...what I would give to be having some cooler weather down here in the TOO sunny state of Florida!!  8) ;D

I'm JELOUS!!

Thank you all for your input. The cool water does not bother me, I was just worried about it freezing. You guys have helped me out again. :)  And Cappykat, I wish I could send you down some of this weather.  It is perfect fall day right now and it is suppose to go down into the lower 40's tonight. (30's in the Adirondaks) I love this time of year. ;D Have a nice day all!!!!!!!

The past 2 days have been cool here but the past few weeks (and we are talking about September) it has been at least 10-15 degrees higher than average!  Our low this morning was 64F, it hasn't been good tubbing weather yet!  It is officially fall, correct??
