Title: Screened porch for hot tub
Post by: cappykat on September 13, 2005, 08:38:06 pm
Finally got our irrigation moved and the mason is suppose to contact us tomorrow (Wed).  Once the slab is completed we'll be ready to begin construction on the screened porch.  This will be the end result when we are done.  The room will be 15x25.  Hope to be ready for delivery of our tub by the end of October...just in time for cooler weather! ;D

Sweet.  We've got a screened porch and love it.  Our tub is underneath though as our porch is elevated.  It would be cool to have the tub in it but the concrete pad under the porch works well too.  We've got tons of privacy out our walkout basement under there.  You'll love it when it's all done.

We're actually from Toronto but are now living in North Carolina.  The weather down here is great for a Screened Porch.  We use our about 9-10 months a year as December and January are a bit too cold to be sitting out.

Make sure you post some pics as the construction gets under way.  I can't wait to see your porch all done.

Ken

Ken...I love North Carolina--it's God's country!!  I'd move to Asheville or just about any city in a heartbeat. ;D

Yes, I'll post pics as soon as the slab goes down.

Gorgous!!!!!!!!! Soon we will be doing a screened in porch too and then in about 4 years probably will be trading up to a new hot tub (like my coleman is old LOLOLOL) Anyway..hubby wants to take off the wall that faces the street...extend the concrete work to the gate...and by the time its all over with it'll be 1/2 the length of our mobile home ( home is 14x70). I'm excited!!!

Backpains, I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.  The mason is coming tomorrow to give us an estimate on what we want done.  I'm hopeful he'll be able to start ASAP.  We want our tub by the end of October and I just heard from my dealer that there is going to be a big North American hot tub show in October at the convention center.  All the manufacturers show their prototypes and 2006 line.
