Title: How much clearance for my Maxxus
Post by: Joma on September 05, 2005, 01:52:33 pm
I need help quick!  How much clearance do I need between the edge of my maxxus and a wall to accomodate the cover and a covermatemate 3 lifter?

Thanks.

Be sure to leave adequate clearance around all sides of your spa for service, should that become necessary.
The Maxxus is one heavy tub, and it would probably cost you a few bucks to have it moved if service was needing access that that side of the spa for some reason.  I think the rule of thumb is to allow about 3' on all sides.

Depends on your lifter. My dealer told me to keep 6" for my covermate III. Got my maxxus delivered yesterday by the way! Got in this morning for the first time. Any questions?

BTW, even though this thing is 1100 pounds, without water, two moderately sized guys can slide it around. So if you are totally clear on one side you could drain it to slide it in that direction (away from a deck or wall).

Sorry for 3 replies in a row... Dealer also told me I needed 12" in the rear for the CIII. Just noticed you said you were getting the same one too. My dealer is coming by for a walkthrough tomorrow and is bringing the cIII then, so I actually don't have the lifter on there yet myself.
