Title: Testing supplies..
Post by: mxw128 on August 13, 2005, 10:45:57 am
I'm using the HS Fresh Water system (silver ion cartridge, MPS etc) I want to buy a regular test kit. What tests should It have?  I assume PH, ALk, total and free chlorine...  what else do I need?

If you buy the Talyor 2005 - it'll have everything you need. If you have a Leslies Pool Supplies they sell the same kit with their name on it.

Last summer I bought a test kit in a nice blue storage case at Walmart for $14. Has pH, TA, CL and hardness.  Works great and when I need new reagents they send refills to me for free.  I've had reagents replaced twice now.

Yeah, I looked at Leslies online, which kit would this one be?

I'll have to check out Walmart.  I wonder if the CL test will detect MPS as well?

The Leslie's kit is the "Complete Pool Kit DPD test Kit". If your going to order on line order from Doc's site, rhtubs, he sells the Taylor there.

All kits that I know of don't test for MPS - this is something that N2 wants you to test for. I believe you can get test strips for it.

How do you go about getting the refills?  Do you get them at Walmart or mail in?
