Title: Soaking spinner jets
Post by: wmccall on May 30, 2005, 09:37:43 pm
Next weekend I am going to do a water change and clean out the tub.  Its about 27 months old.  I want to soak some of the spinner jets. Do I remember someone say they soaked theirs in CLR?

try soaking them in a bucket with warm
water and vinegar.
make sure to spin them around to loosen
any build-up within the bearings

Bill,

On Doc's website the people there swear by Swirl Away. From what I've read, even the spinner jets may work better.

I just received my order from Doc and I did buy a bottle of it but I plan on using it at my second water change (around Nov).

Maybe give it a try before soaking the jets.

I did use that once, and it may have indeed helped the jets. The tub was only a year old then and the amount of "stuff" it pulled out was underwhelming compared to others.   Maybe I will try it again.
