Title: copper sulphate?????

I still dont have tub, but waiting patiently for my cement to be finished to purchase tub.  Anyway, lots of homework and educating the past few months.

A guy from work today said that he used copper sulphate to sanitize his tub.  he said that he does not need to shock and everything is band on.  He also said the water is the clearest that it has ever been.  no smell or anything...

any comments.

I think here in the US we have a product called Rainforest Blue and people use it to sanitize their tubs. I think it's a copper compound.
